Alicante is a thoroughly Spanish city where narrow twisting streets suddenly open to the refreshing smells of Mediterranean air and impressive views of stunning modern architecture. Long sandy beaches, pleasant temperatures, an imposing medieval fortress located on the bare rocky hill above a historic old town square, and lively nocturnal offerings are just a few of the many reasons Alicante is a perfect venue for improving your Spanish language!
This six (6) credit program will teach you about the most important cultural movements and historical events of Spain from the beginning of the 20th century to the present and immerse you in the Spanish language. UW-Green Bay professor Gabriel Saxton-Ruiz will teach two three (3) credit courses in partnership with CEA Global Education and the Universidad de Alicante. This four-week intensive program will enable you to satisfy your DPI immersion requirement.
Program Dates: June 30th- July 31st, 2016
Students will stay with a host family during the length of the program.
