AcademicsStudents at UW-Green Bay have the best of the best in terms of faculty, facilities, and library. Four professors have won awards for teaching in the past few years and in 2012 the Cofrin Library was named the State Library of the Year. In addition, the Education program was named the state's Best Academic Program in 2011.
Global Footprints and PartnershipsKnown as the original Eco U, UW-Green Bay has a long-standing reputation as a school with students who care about the world and their place in it. Students jump at the chance to do undergraduate research in Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, or participate in a study abroad program in more than 30 different locations. Even if they aren't traveling abroad, students are encouraged to think globally. A "Global Summit" held each year inspires study of other countries' social, economic, political, and environmental problems as they relate to sustainable development and international priorities. The summit gets a 95 percent approval rating by students.
360º of support
An enjoyable and productive academic experience must be supported by a variety of co-curricular, cultural, and international-specific support services. UW-Green Bay provides students with free airport pick up, a comprehensive orientation program, immigration advising and processing, health services, tutoring services, English support courses, study groups, and cultural excursions.
On-Campus HousingStudents can expect some of the finest on-campus housing and accommodations in the United States, with a new recreation center, a newly remodeled union with a convienence store, coffeehouse, and dining options, just a few minutes walk from housing. You can click to see all housing options here, please note that most exchange students will stay in a residence hall or shared room apartments.
Campus ActivitiesUW-Green Bay has many different amenities to match the interest of any student. In addition to Division 1 athletics and intermural sports, UWGB has a world-class performing arts center on campus. There is even a 9-hole golf course and a Frisbee golf course right on campus!
There are also more than 100 student clubs and organizations that enable any student to find something that interests them as well as allow students to take on leadership roles and expand their involvement in the campus community.
The UWGB International Club hosts an annual dinner and talent show in the spring- it is the longest running and one of the best attended student events at UW-Green Bay. The International Club also hosts several smaller events throughout the year.

Green BayUW-Green Bay students can use the public transit system for free for excursions throughout the Green Bay area. The Green Bay area is home to activities all year long, from Green Bay Packer football games, Door County day trips, the Bay Beach amusement park to downtown farmer's markets and live music during the summer and fall. Green Bay is also ideally located for short trips to the nearby cities of Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago, and Minneapolis/St. Paul. Some links for things to do and see in the area are below:
