Fulda International Winter University (IWU)
The city of Fulda is situated in the eastern part of Hessen. It is known for its beautiful architecture, gardens and city Cathedral. Fulda IWU Course Options
Student will enroll in a German language course (beginner - advanced- 3 UWGB credits) and one additional subject focused course (3 UWGB credits). Students choose one subject focused course module:
- Culture and Society: German History, Culture, Literature in an Intercultural Context: What importance do the last 130 years hold for German culture? Using films, works of art, music, literature, and eyewitness reports from the past 130 years, we will try to establish a more clearly defined image of Germany.
- Business: International Management in an Intercultural Environment: Managers around the world are or soon will be involved to some degree in international business. The escalating level of involvement and competitiveness makes it imperative for managers to develop the knowledge and skills needed to be effective in cross-national interactions and in daily operations in foreign subsidiaries.
- Art and Society: This course proposes an overview on the relation between art and society, with a focus on how the art object has been reaching its audience in different cultural contexts, covering from late medieval and early renaissance periods to the present days.

Included in the program are multiple exciting cultural activities. In addition to the opening and closing ceremonies there are leisure activities in the evenings.
Fulda offers a number of informative and fun workshops

- Trip to Berlin (3 days)
- Optional day trip to Bamberg or Würzburg (additional 50 Euro each)

All the IWU students will stay in hotel rooms with other IWU students at no additional charge (extra charge applies for single or double rooms). Breakfast is included.
All rooms are with private bathrooms at a hotel in Fulda’s city center within 15 minutes walking distance from campus.
